Laboratory Technician

Vacancy – HydroFlexx (part of: FlexxGroep) – Etten-Leur – 32 to 40 hours per week

Your challenge as a Laboratory Technician / Laboratory Analyst / Laboratory Specialist

You will work on developing future energy carriers, particularly for ships. We work with hydrogen stored in powder form, which is released through our reactor system. After the hydrogen is released, the remaining powder is recovered. You will gain significant knowledge in developing new reactor systems, which also involve separation processes such as crystallization. This independent role in our new lab includes tasks such as building test setups, conducting experiments, and designing improved or new experiments. Your role will combine lab testing and office work, and you will have workstations in both the lab and the office.

Essential tasks & responsibilities:

- Set up experiments

- Conduct experiments independently

- Report results and analyses

- Maintain the laboratory (including legal administrative requirements)

- Develop new tests and experiments

- Register chemicals

- Purchase materials

Team

You will be part of our FlexxGroep, which consists of a team of 10 people. You will primarily work with Jordy the Chemical Engineer and collaborate with our 5 engineering colleagues. You will report to the management team. As our lab grows, you will have the opportunity to expand your role. We have an innovative culture with plenty of space for individual ideas.

The ideal Laboratory Technician / Laboratory Assistant

You have a Bachelor's degree combined with some practical laboratory experience, or at least 5 years of laboratory experience. It’s important that you don’t only have theoretical knowledge. You should be willing to take on tasks outside of your job description. In our small company, everyone is flexible, and our goal is to get the job done.
